Jan. 6 Congress Battle Looms; New Virus Strain has “Zombie” Traits | Wide Angle with Brendon

In just a few days we’ll be entering 2021. Anticipation continues to run high with the battle for the US presidential election set to erupt in congress on January 6th, in what is quite possibly the Trump camp’s last realistic hope of reversing the election result. President Trump is urging supporters to gather there in Washington D.C. for this momentous occasion, where congress will have the opportunity to challenge the results of the electoral college. Regardless of the final outcome, America is currently confronted by 4 significant crises as part of the fallout of the 2020 election—ranging from the ever present “sharp power” infiltration operations of the Chinese Communist Party to the domestic threat of radical forces pushing America toward socialism.

We also explore the dangers posed by the reportedly more-severe variant of the coronavirus from the novel perspective of the 16th century French prophet, Nostradamus, whose predictions apparently tied in with such 20th century developments as the French Revolution, the rise of Hitler and the 9/11 attacks on the United States. Intriguingly, in his 1555 book of prophecies, he predicted the emergence of a “zombie virus” appearing in 2021. We look at how this matches against accounts of the Coronavirus variant that’s just emerged in Europe as well as highly irregular accounts from the earlier peak of the pandemic in China.

Alt-right—I use the term alt-right to describe the element that has infiltrated and geared the United States Democratic Party toward what I believe objectively constitutes extreme leftist policies which are consistent with the eventual establishment of a Marxist society in the United States. These are policies that generally necessitate the expansion of government and the limiting of the individual’s rights to personal freedom and possession. These are policies that many, more moderate leftists are uncomfortable with; hence the significant departure of these moderate leftists from the Democratic Party. The term alt-left was used by President Trump to identify the violent, extreme leftist faction present at the 2017 Charlottesville, Virginia clash between those seeking to tear down the statue of General Robert E. Lee. and those attempting to stop this. The term serves to distinguish those on the extreme political left content to use any means, including violence to achieve their political ends, from those aligned with the earlier more moderate policies of the U.S. Democratic Party.
