@realcandaceowens takes on Lead Stories, LLC out of Colorado. Lead Stories is part of the International Fact Checking Network (IFCN) as established by Poytner Institute. Poytner Institute is supposed to be a non-profit education institution teaching journalism and Democracy. But as a non-profit, they partake in political activities, which are illegal per the IRS, and it owns a for profit newspaper, Tampa Bay Times. Poytner also owns the other famed non-profit fact checking group Politico.
