Friendship Circle Pairs Special Needs Teens With Their Peers

Published November 9, 2020 98 Views

Rumble Creating friendships when you're a teenager can be difficult. That's why The Friendship Circle was formed, an organization that pairs teens with kids who have special needs.

Teens gather to spend a couple hours of their day forming meaningful friendships with kids who may not have regular opportunities to socialize, have fun, and feel like they are one of the gang. In addition, the parents of kids with special needs get some free time for themselves to have a coffee, go shopping, and indulge in a little relaxation.

"Doing Friendship Circle is its own reward," noted volunteer Doron Feller. "Seeing a moment of relaxation or enjoyment on a kids face is a great moment. I'm a completely different person because of Friendship Circle."

Watch how these Norwalk, CT teens form lasting friendships and discover that they receive as much as they give.
