Florida couple James and Kimberly Snead are living personifications of the adage 'no good deed goes unpunished.'
The Sneads were the last foster parents of Nikolas Cruz. Cruz carried out a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in 2018.
As part of a legal agreement to settle numerous civil lawsuits, the Sneads were required to write a letter of apology to the victims and their families.
According to Newser, they said they should have believed what they were told.
Namely, that Cruz was homicidal, untrustworthy, and infatuated with firearms.
We thought we could handle this troubled young man, unfortunately, we were wrong. James and Kimberly Snead
