Replacing 30 minutes of "sedentary time," with daily light exercise reduces a senior's risk of death from cancer by 8%.
Researchers say taking a walk is helpful, but doing 30 minutes of moderate- to vigorous activity is best.
According to UPI, taking a bike ride or going for a swim, lowers the likelihood of death from cancer by 31%.
The U.S. CDC recommends that adults engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate- to vigorous physical activity weekly.
