ROSACEA warrior redefines beauty boundaries by becoming a skin positivity influencer. A few years ago, after contracting an infection, Jessica became susceptible to sickness and skin issues and was told she would never get better. Due to medication, she developed a very severe skin condition that made her “difficult to look at” and was diagnosed with Rosacea - a condition that primarily causes redness and visible blood vessels on the face amongst other health issues. The 28-year-old, from Adelaide, South Australia, realised she couldn’t bear the thought of what happened to her, happening to others - and as a result, Jessica started her vlog 'in the Ra' where she shares stories, research, and her own insights to help others love the skin they’re in. Jessica said: “My skin was a perceived constraint in the beginning, but I realised that like most constraints, it's really just a beautiful filter. You're beautiful. And that means so much more than what one would typically say is beautiful. There's so much beauty in the world and it is not defined by such a narrow set of characteristics.”
