YouTube creates million dollar fund to amplify voices of black creators Unlisted Video

YouTube announced a multi-year $100 million fund to amplify and develop the voices of Black creators. YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki recognized more must be done and said the company is “committed to doing better.” According to Business Insider, some of the money will be put toward new YouTube Original Programming. The company will also raise money for Equal Justice Initiative, a non-profit that focuses on racial inequality. Wojcicki said they will use its Spotlight channel during June to highlight racial justice issues.
