Yahoo News obtained audio of former president Barack Obama speaking online with members of the Obama Alumni Association. According to Newser, he talked about various topics such as Michael Flynn, and American tribalism. Obama said the 2020 presidential election was of utmost importance because they are fighting against long-term trends. He said “being selfish, being tribal, being divided and seeing others as an enemy” has “become a stronger impulse in American life.” Obama said the Justice Department dropping charges against Michael Flynn makes him worry that “our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.”
