The Spanish government delivered an ominous warning on Saturday.
According to Reuters, it said 'the worst is yet to come' with respect to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.
After the national toll exceeded 1,300 deaths and reached nearly 25,000 cases, it vowed it would do whatever it could to combat the virus.
The second-worst outbreak in Europe showed no sign of slowing as the death toll jumped by more than 300 from the previous day.
