TikTok is being sued over allegations of collecting and exposing the identifiable data of children under 13. According to Gizmodo, doing this is in violation of child privacy protection laws. The complaint alleges the app failed to create adequate safeguards to prevent minors from using it. Additionally, the suit alleges the app collected location data on users between December 2015 and October 2016. The app set user accounts to public by default and along with that their identifying information.
