New research looks at the effect of sending out free self-tests in a population of gay men.
The study was a longitudinal.
It randomized clinical trial that stretched over 12 months and consisted of two groups, summing up 2,665 participants.
It found those with the free testing kit tested themselves more than those who did not have the kit.
