Rumble Check-in procedures at Hong Kong International Airport were suspended for a second day on Tuesday, August 13, as anti-extradition-bill protesters returned to the terminal buildings and continued demonstrating. The Airport Authority Hong Kong had attempted, unsuccessfully, to limit access to the buildings to passengers with boarding passes, the Hong Kong Free Press reported. The protesters had staged continuous sit-ins at the airport over the weekend to put pressure on the government to accede to “five demands,” including the complete formal withdrawal of a proposed extradition bill that ignited the initial protests in March.
