A shooting in El Paso, Texas killed at least 20 people on Saturday. Hours later, one in Dayton, Ohio, claimed at least nine lives.
According to Newser, President Donald Trump spent the first hours after the tragedies out of sight at his New Jersey golf course.
His tweets of support were awkwardly mixed in with those promoting a celebrity fight and attacks on his political foes.
After one tweet offered condolences, he tweeted a discordant post 14 minutes later.
