Baited Fishing Hook Removed From Banjo Shark in Port Phillip Bay

Rumble / Ocean LifeFree diver Jules Casey came across a banjo shark that had what appeared to be a fisherman’s hook stuck in its mouth in Port Phillip Bay, Australia. Casey noticed that there were weeds and shells attached to the fishing line, and the shark was having trouble navigating through the waters. Casey managed to hold her camera between her knees and record as she used a tool to cut the fishing line and free the shark of the baited hook. Casey told Storyful that after she freed the shark, she “went back to the area an hour later to see if she was ok but she had moved on.” Credit: Jules Casey via Storyful
