U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed Iran and maritime security with Gulf Arab allies. Pompeo took a trip to the region after President Donald Trump called off a military strike in the area. According to Reuters, there was talk of possible retaliation for Tehran’s downing of a U.S. drone. Pompeo met with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He then went to the United Arab Emirates to talk with Abu Dhabi’s crown prince.
