Acting defense Secretary Shanahan set to resign Unlisted Video

According to Reuters, the acting Secretary of Defense will leave the post ahead of his Senate confirmation.
Instead of taking the helm at the Defense Department, acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan has chosen to resign.
Shanahan reportedly resigned due to an incident which came up during his background check for the top post at the Defense Department.
He said in a statement that he chose to step down to prevent his family from reliving a traumatic chapter in their lives.
