U.S. State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research senior analyst Rod Schoonver was blocked by White House officials. According to Business Insider Schoonover testified on behalf of the bureau at a climate change hearing. He spoke about the effects of a warming world to the House Intelligence Committee. Yet the written statement of his office was blocked because it contradicted the policies of the Trump administration. The written testimony said climate change would produce "significant" and "possibly catastrophic" harm to the planet.
