Minnesota police officer sentenced for shooting death of Australian woman
Reuters reports a former Minneapolis police officer was sentenced to 12-1/2 years in prison on Friday. Mohamed Noor was accused and convicted in the fatal shooting of an Australian woman nearly two years ago. The 33-year-old officer shot 40-year-old Justine Ruszczyk after she had called police to report a possible sexual assault. Noor was found guilty on April 30th of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
