According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, a former Florida sheriff's deputy was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from his lack of response during the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that left 16 people dead. Broward County State Attorney Mike Satz said in a statement that 56 year-old Scot Peterson faces seven counts of child neglect, three counts of culpable negligence and one count of perjury.
