Tornadoes rip through Kansas
According to CNN, tornadoes have ripped through the Midwest for the past two weeks, putting millions of people at risk.
In Kansas, at least 13 people were treated for injuries in Lawrence after a massive storm surged through nearby Linwood.
The rain-wrapped tornado passed by the University of Kansas in the evening, destroying homes in a neighborhood close by.
Brain Hahn, a resident of Linwood, said the tornado passed over his house while his family was huddled in the basement.
