An Indiana kindergartner was reportedly 'lunch' shamed and their grandfather spoke out on their behalf.
The student was told to return their hot lunch because her account balance couldn't cover the meal.
The cafeteria then served her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Their family wasn't notified her account was low, even though that's school policy.
Her family said her experience was "sad" and "embarrassing.
