According to Reuters, Maine is the 25th state to confirm a case of measles.
State medical officials said that a child was infected, but they have fully recovered.
The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention added that the school-aged child was from Somerset County.
The reported case from Maine is now one of 880 measles cases tracked by federal health officials, marking the country's worst outbreak of the disease in a quarter century.
