According to a report by Business Insider, in the wake of the US commerce department's decision to blacklist China's Huawei, the agency has issued a 90 day 'temporary license' to allow some U.S. businesses to continue working with the Chinese telecom company. The new "temporary general license" will reportedly allow US companies to supply Huawei with products needed to perform software updates on existing Huawei devices and those needed to maintain existing networks.
