Playful Baboons Go For Dip In Hotel's Pool

Rumble / Wild WildlifeA hotel owner in Betty’s Bay, South Africa, captured a cute video of a pair of baboons taking a swim in the pool. The adorable Video show pair of baboons decided to cool off from the African sun in an uncommon way at Kalliste an Exclusive Retreat.

Garth Bradley, the 50-year-old owner of the retreat, says he first spotted an alpha male baboon and immediately raced to make sure the kitchen door was closed. It was then that he noticed a couple of the monkeys diving, swimming, and splashing in the swimming pool.

Garth said: “I was sitting in my office when the large alpha male baboon came past.
I then noticed the 2 more baboons’ drinking water and playing around the pool. The male baboon lay down on his side and played with the water.

The junior baboon then jumped in the swimming pool and the bigger one joined.
They played in the pool for about 5 minutes and it was pleasant to witness.
This is the first time we have had them in our swimming pool they normally come down every second week or so to forage in the backyard garden.

It is not every day you see a pair of baboons casually dipping into the excellently cleaned and ready to use the swimming pool in the backyard. But, well, here we are!

These guys just wanted to take a chilling dip in one of your expensive household amenities just because it was on the map of the deforested part of his former neighborhood. From what we can see in the video, Baboons seems to marvel and enjoy at the discovery of fake clean ponds. Why have not Baboons thought of swimming pools first?

Baboons are extraordinarily intelligent animals. They have far excellent navigation skills to humans; wonderful memories; large brain to body ratio; and use tools in various contexts from hunting to play.

Baboons were often honored in the cultures of many early civilizations. They were seen as a symbol of clever and smartness. But, there is a completely different psychological profile of baboons featuring in this video a true bon viveur!
