According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, a senior Mexican official said that Mexico views the US decision to lift steel and aluminum tariffs from Mexico and Canada with 'great enthusiasm," adding that the action paved the way to pass a new trade deal. In reference to the new US-Mexico-Canada Agreement, Jesus Seade, Mexican deputy foreign minister for North America, said on Twitter, “The decision opens the path to ratify the USMCA.
