Elon Musk awards 2 kids learning startups $10 million Unlisted Video
According to Business Insider, Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave two startups a $10 million prize.
The prize is for winning XPrize's Global Learning competition.
onebillion and Kitkit School, two children learning based startups, were awarded for creating new technology that helps children teach themselves how to read and write on their own.
Anousheh Ansari, CEO of XPRIZE told press in a statement, "Education is a fundamental human right, and we are so proud of all the teams and their dedication and hard work to ensure every single child has the opportunity to take learning into their own hands."
The competition challenged innovators to develop technology that would help kids teach themselves basic reading, writing, and math within 15 months.
The two startups will split the $10 million dollar prize money.
