Sprinter impaled by Javelin
According to Business Insider, "Georgia sprinter Elija Godwin was taken to hospital when he accidentally impaled himself on a javelin. Godwin sustained the injury on Tuesday at a University of Georgia track session." The incident occured after he backed onto a stationary javelin during his backwards sprinting drill. It pierced his body and his lung. The javelin had to be sawed off in order from him to be rescued.
