According to Markets Insider, the top markets on Wall Street opened the new week trading lower.
Over the weekend, President Donald Trump tweeted threats of new tariffs on Chinese goods, which sent shock waves through global equity markets.
By the afternoon on May 6th, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 155-points, after falling 400-points during morning trading.
The Nasdaq Composite dropped 1-percent, falling about 80-points.
