For Delicious Salads, Olive Oil Isn't The Be All, End All
Grape seed oil may not sound as sexy as olive, but sometimes being bland and boring is what you need--especially for salads. According to LifeHacker Skillet, olive oil has a very "assertive" taste. So while it may be great for bread dipping, or drizzling over roasted vegetables, it can easily overwhelm the more delicate tastes found in a salad. A neutral-tasting oil—such as grape seed, canola, or plain old vegetable oil—will serve you much better, because these oils let other ingredients shine.
