According to CNN, the Democratic Republic of Congo's Ministry of Health reported Thursday that 1,510 cases of Ebola have now been reported in North Kivu and Ituri provinces. Friday afternoon, the Ministry of Health said there had been 1,008 Ebola deaths to date. Ebola causes fever, severe headache, and sometimes hemorrhaging. It is said to kill about half of those infected on average.
