Business Insider reports a ground beef recall, which was prompted after 177 cases of E. coli infection have been reported in 10 states.
E. coli infection is usually caused by contact with human or animal feces and can cause cramping, vomiting, and diarrhea.
So far, the recall appears to only apply to bulk packages of ground beef, mostly used by restaurants and institutions.
On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that over 166,000 pounds of beef were recalled.
