Trump Denies Payment To North Korea For Release Of College Student
U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. didn't pay North Korea any money for the release of Otto Warmbier. This statement comes after Trump approved a $2 million bill from Pyongyang to cover the care of the comatose college student. Warmbier was held prisoner in a North Korean prison for 17 months until June 2017. The student was simply visiting North Korea as a tourist and was accused of allegedly trying to steal an item with a propaganda slogan from his hotel.
