According to a report by Reuters, on Saturday, a rare Sumatran tiger attacked a woman at the Topeka Zoo in Kansas in an incident witnessed by several visitors. The zoo keeper was reportedly alert and awake while being rushed to a hospital where she was listed in stable condition. City of Topeka spokeswoman Molly Hadfield said by phone that the Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center was open to visitors when the male tiger named Sanjiv injured the worker.
