Business Insider reports that Tesla will pay $31,000 to the Environmental Protection Agency for hazardous waste violations.
The company will also purchase $55,000 in emergency response equipment for the city of Fremont, California, where its factory is located.
The EPA said Tesla had failed to comply with air emissions standards for equipment leaks.
Tesla also failed to manage requirements for generators of hazardous wastes.
