According to Reuters, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Friday that Mexico does not act on the basis of threats after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to close the U.S.-Mexico border if Mexico does not stop illegal immigration. On Twitter, Ebrard said “Mexico does not act on the basis of threats. We are a great neighbor." On Friday, Trump told reporters, “There’s a very good likelihood that I’ll be closing the border next week, and that will be just fine with me."
