According to Business Insider, charges against actor Jussie Smollett have been dropped.
Smollett became a suspect in a police investigation after the actor claimed he was attacked by two racist and homophobic men.
After investigating the alleged hate crime, the Chicago Police Department charged Smollet with multiple counts of disorderly conduct, lying to police, and filing a false police report.
The police claimed that Smollett staged the attack as a hoax because he was unhappy with his salary on the show Empire.
Smollett denied staging the attack after the charges were dropped.
