According to CNN, Ichiro Suzuki has played his last game in major league baseball.
On March 21st, the Seattle Mariners played the Oakland Athletics at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, with Suzuki in the starting line-up.
He announced his retirement after the game.
The 45-year-old MLB veteran began his American career with the Seattle Mariners in 2001.
But Suzuki played in the Nippon professional league in his native Japan for nine seasons before joining the MLB.
