Judges on the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals may dismiss a lawsuit filed against President Donald Trump in June 2017.
The suit, by the Democratic attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia, accuses Trump of violating the emoluments clauses of the Constitution.
The clauses prohibit a president from accepting gifts from foreign countries and U.S. states without congressional approval.
