World leaders expressed disgust and sorrow at the killing of 49 people in New Zealand mosques. Many blamed the attacks on the demonization of Muslims, says Reuters. Western leaders from Donald Trump to Angela Merkel expressed solidarity with the people of New Zealand. The White House called the shootings a “vicious act of hate." One of the accused shooters had praised Trump and white supremacy in an online manifesto.
