Protests Continue in Algiers Against President Extending Fourth Term

Rumble - Students and teachers took to the streets of Algiers, Algeria, on March 12, in protest against President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s decision to extend his fourth term in office and postpone presidential elections, according to local media. After weeks of protests, Bouteflika said in March that he would not seek a fifth term. However, he also said elections due to take place in April would be postponed, local media reported.
