The late, famous physicist, Stephen Hawking, is being celebrated on a UK coin.
Nearly a year after his death, the cosmologist will be honored by the Royal Mint with his name on a 50 pence ($0.65) silver coin.
Hawking joins an elite group of scientists who have appeared on coins, like Sir Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.
According to Geek.com, Hawking battled motor neurone disease.
