According to Gizmodo, Snap faced two rounds of cost-cutting layoffs, beginning in March 2018. While the company says most employees laid off were men, the Wall Street Journal reported that it was actually women. The reports says multiple women were paid out additional cash and stock shares after raised concerns of discrimination. This comes after former female workers claimed Snap has a sexist workplace culture.
