According to Business Insider, big changes are coming to Facebook messenger.
Facebook is going to make messages auto-delete and encrypted by default.
In a blog post published Wednesday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company wants to become a "privacy-focused communications platform."
Facebook will also refuse to store user data in countries with records of human rights abuses.
Facebook is not worried that not storing data in those countries means Facebook's services are banned as a result.
