Heard's attorney Eric M. George spoke with Deadline, revealing her response to the defamation claims.
Depp lawsuit specifically cites an op-ed she wrote in the Washington Post detailing the years of abuse.
She never names Depp directly.
George says Depp is trying to silence Heard and she "will not be silenced."
