Flooded Creek Spills Onto Main Road in Nashville, Tennessee

Rumble / Strange Weather - Browns Creek, Nashville, broke its banks on February 23 after record downpours. The creek could be seen lapping at a main road, Craighead St, in a video recorded by Nashville resident Jen Trail. The Tennessean newspaper reported the month’s rainfall totalled 12 inches, overtaking the state’s record from 1880. Downtown Nashville was inundated, with Rosa Parks Boulevard and surrounding roads underwater. First responders were called to 60 emergency calls, but no injuries or deaths were reported.
