The House Oversight Committee will vote on a resolution from Chairman Elijah Cummings to issue subpoenas.
According to Reuters, the subpoenaed documents concern the Trump administration’s migrant family separation policy.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Attorney General William Barr, and HHS Secretary Alex Azar are to be named.
If approved, the resolution would show Democrats beginning to invoke the investigative clout they obtained in the November midterms.
