A mob of emus at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, New South Wales, went for a quick dip to escape sweltering temperatures on February 6. Filmed by zookeeper Steph Sims and volunteer Ruby Cullen, the emus can be seen frolicking about in the water. The keepers hadn’t seen so many emus together in the watering hole before. “Normally there’s just one or two,” a spokesperson for the zoo told Storyful. “We have had over 15 days at over 40 degrees Celsius in Dubbo since the start of the year, so you can understand why the emus have been swimming.” Credit: Steph Sims and Ruby Cullen via Storyful
