Heavy rain in Orange County, California, caused the San Gabriel River to swell and left nearby Seal Beach littered with debris on Monday, February 4. Video posted to Instagram shows garbage strewn about the sand before cleanup crews arrived. Fifty-two inland cities border the San Gabriel River and pollution from those areas traveled downstream to the sea before being dumped on the beach, according to the Orange County Register. The beach is regularly blanketed with trash during the wet seasons, local media said. Credit: @MusicCali via Storyful
