Seattle Residents Push Start Car on Snow-Covered Street

Rumble / Strange Weather - Three people helped a driver get their car moving in Seattle, Washington, on Monday, February 4, as unusually heavy snow sparked school closures, power outages, and caused collisions and spin-outs on roads across the city and the wider area. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) urged drivers to stay off the roads and shared multiple videos of snow-related traffic incidents across the city, including footage of a car driving the wrong way on a freeway after spinning out. “We’ve got about 100 plows and trucks out between King County and the Canadian Border, so be careful around them,” the department said Monday morning. “We had two trucks struck by other drivers last night, which takes them out of service.” Just after 2pm, the National Weather Service in Seattle said another band of snow was likely to move through the Seattle metropolitan area during the afternoon.
