Exodus 7, ep 116

Hi, I’m Sal Lopez Executive Director of Ozark Hunger Relief, I am doing this to hopefully find some sponsors (tax deductible donations) for an office in Prairie Grove, Ar. I have seen and fed many children who wander around here. I thought if I started a non-profit, the community would be happy to help. Nope! I’ve had nothing but suspicion, derision, denial, and was eventually ripped off for everything I had, by another food pantry. They offered to let me work with their food pantry, then when I delivered everything I had, then they told me to they couldn’t let me in their office, anymore, but subsequently asked me for more of my money. It has been horribly depressing, but I will persevere and get this office open.
My vision is to be a community resource center, but the main goal is to feed hungry kids, whose parents are drug addicts, and/or alcoholics. I guess some are just poor. Anyway, I need help and will advertise for you, and have signs of acknowledgement for every donor, proportionate for the donation.
Remember to try to stay positive, you can choose your state of mind, so I offer this advice: Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Anyway, this episode is on Exodus 7! Good morning, everybody! Come on, look at somebody and say, “God is about to turn your impossible into your incredible!” Oh, I feel the anointing in this place today—there’s a breakthrough brewing, there’s a miracle in motion! Today, I want to talk to you from Exodus chapter 7, and I’ve titled this message: “Your Staff Is About to Swallow the Serpents!” Somebody shout, “My victory is swallowing my enemies!” Exodus 7 starts with God telling Moses, “I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.” Moses is 80 years old, feeling inadequate, but God says, “Throw down your staff, and it will become a serpent.” Aaron does it, and sure enough, it turns into a snake. But Pharaoh’s magicians do the same thing with their staffs! For a moment, it looks like a standoff. But then—verse 12—Aaron’s staff swallows up their staffs! Listen to me: The enemy may mimic God’s miracles for a minute, but he can never match God’s power! That sickness may look like it’s winning, that debt may look overwhelming, that relationship may seem broken beyond repair—but God’s staff is about to swallow it whole! Your breakthrough is going to consume every counterfeit in your life! I love how God tells Moses in verse 3, “I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt, he will not listen.” Why? So that God’s glory could be shown even greater! Just like in Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good to those who love God.” That hardened heart in your boss, that stubborn situation in your family—God is using it to multiply His wonders in your life! It’s not a setback; it’s a setup for a greater display of His favor! Then comes the first plague: Aaron stretches out the staff over the Nile, and the water turns to blood. Fish die, the river stinks, and Egypt is in chaos. But God’s people? They’re about to be set free! This reminds me of Isaiah 43:19, where God says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Your Nile of negativity is about to become a testimony of turnaround! God is making streams of blessing where there was only drought! And don’t miss this: Moses had excuses back in Exodus 4, “I’m slow of speech”—but by chapter 7, he’s stepping out in faith. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Moses couldn’t see the end, but he trusted the One who wrote the end! Some of you have been hesitating because of your age, your past, your limitations. But God says, “Throw down what you have—your talent, your time, your trust—and watch Me turn it into a serpent-swallowing miracle!” I’m declaring over you today: Every magician’s trick in your life—the lies, the lack, the loneliness—is being swallowed up! Your health is coming back stronger! Your finances are multiplying! Your dreams are resurrecting! Look at what happens later in the story—by Exodus 14, the same staff that swallowed serpents parts the Red Sea! Ephesians 3:20 reminds us, God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Your “more than you can imagine” season is here!Lift your hands right now and say it with me:
“My staff is swallowing the serpents!
My plagues are turning into praise!
My Egypt is behind me, and my Promised Land is ahead!
God’s power is working in me—greater, stronger, unstoppable!”Come on, give God your best shout! The God who turned a shepherd’s staff into a symbol of supremacy is turning your ordinary into extraordinary! The best is yet to come—favor like you’ve never seen, joy like a river, peace that passes understanding!I love you so much, but remember, God loves you infinitely more. Walk out of here today knowing: When you throw down in faith, God shows up in power! Your miracle is now! God bless you, family!
